Massage Therapy question

Jessica,

I had a local bank call me wanting to know what E.F.M.T stood for. This is a horse person who also does therapy with massage etc. We have figured out that the e is for equine and the mt for medical tech. This person listed themselves as a certified efmt? Can you help? Thanks

Hi Kelly -- don't be too sure about the MT -- it could stand for Massage Therapy, Massage Therapist, Muscle Therapy, Myofascial Therapy...

If it were ESMT, I would say Equine Sports Massage Therapy!

If I were you, I would check with some of the professional associations -- one of them will probably know whether this represents a genuine certification program!
