Without my helmet i wouldnt be here by Steph

I was riding at a local show in the eq. classes. During my first course my horse was a little faster then normal i thought just because of nerves. We were coming to the last line of jumps which had the highest jumps in the course at about 3 feet. As we approached the first jump my horse started to take off then suddenly decided to refuse. He stopped so abruptly he fell back on his haunches sending me flying through the air. When i landed on the other side of the jump i hit my head hard on a jump pole that my horse knocked down with his chest. If i hadn't had my helmet on i probably would have cracked open the back of my head. I am thankful the my helmet saved my life and i am here today still riding.
