Replacement Policy by Emily

As a tack shop owner, and rider, I cannot emphasize enough KEEP YOUR PAPERWORK AND RECEIPT. If you have an accident, especially if your helmet touches the ground, you may need to replace the helmet. Most manufacturers have policies in place for just these circumstances--you send them your helmet, a brief description of the incident, and the original paperwork, and you can get a replacement helmet at a discounted price (there is normally a time limit; IRH has a 3 year limit). I know this can be expensive, but it is important. The integrity of your helmet may have been compromised, plus the information you provide the manufaturer can be used to make safer helmets in the future.
